About the Posse Scholarship – The Posse scholarship was established in 1898, and administered via the Posse Foundation. The Posse Award is an academic prize based on merit. The award honors the academic excellence and leadership abilities of high school students from the public sector. The Posse organization is recognized all over the US. The Posse is active in 10 cities (Atlanta, the Bay Area, Boston, Chicago, D.C., Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, and New York), and each team comprises 10 students. The Posse Foundation has trained more than 10,000 students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential.
The Posse scholarship is open to US students of all backgrounds, it is neither a minority nor a need-based scholarship. They seek positive, motivated, talented, ambitious young people, who have good leadership skills, great academic potential, and commitment, and are interested in teamwork and diversity.
Posse partners with colleges and universities all over the country to help you pick the right program that fits best with your goals as a student. Once you get picked, you’ll attend college or university in a team with nine other Posse scholars.ScholarshipBoard
