The government-funded Türkiye Scholarships program provides outstanding students with competitive scholarships to pursue full- or part-time studies at Turkey’s best universities. Applications will be accepted from candidates interested in pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees.

Scholarship value/inclusions
The scholarship covers tuition, a one-time return flight ticket, health insurance, housing, and a one-year Turkish language course in addition to university and program placement, a monthly stipend (Bachelor: 1000 TL per month; Masters: 1,400 TL per month; Ph.D.: 1,800 TL per month), and other expenses.
The typical award period is:
- Undergraduate: 4-6 years including a yearlong Turkish language course (depending on the normal duration of the program)
- Master’s: Two years plus a year-long Turkish language course
- Ph.D.: 4 years plus 1 year of Turkish language study
Eligibility
Minimum Academic Criteria
- The required grade point average for candidates seeking a bachelor’s degree is 70%
- For candidates for master’s and doctoral degrees, a minimum grade point average of 75% is required.
- A 90 percent grade point average is required for applicants to the health sciences (medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy).
Age requirements
- For undergraduate programs, you must be younger than 21.
- For Master’s programs, you must be under 30
- To be under 35 years old to enroll in doctoral programs
- To qualify for a research scholarship, you must be under 45.

Application guidelines:
Candidates must submit their applications on an individual basis via www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr. No organizations or individuals are permitted to submit applications for Türkiye Scholarships. Between 20 February 2024 and 20 March 2024, candidates applying at the bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels are welcome to do so. All year long, candidates for research are welcome.
