About the UCR Chancellor’s Scholarship: The Chancellor’s Scholarship is a merit-based incentive given to new UCR undergraduates with outstanding academic records. The Chancellor’s Scholarship is an honorarium that is applied to fees. More information about the rules of this grant and the amount of the honorarium will be provided to beneficiaries when the scholarship is offered, following acceptance by UCR.ScholarshipBoard

To be eligible for the UCR Chancellor’s Scholarship, you should be:

• United States citizens, permanent residents, or California Dream Act students
• Demonstrated academic excellence (strength and breadth of your high school academic program, grades, and other academic criteria)
• Grant awards are based on financial need.
• Other factors include:
  • Your statement on your UC application
  • Extracurricular and community activities
  • First-generation college attendance
  • Educational environment and economic background
