Eligibility for the Shell Undergraduate Scholarship
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Nigerian citizens who are currently enrolled in an accredited and approved university in Nigeria, have gained admission during the academic session, are pursuing a first degree program, and have a minimum of seven level credits, including Mathematics and English.
To apply for the scholarship, candidates must be full-time undergraduate students at a Nigerian university with a minimum grade point average of 2.5. There are two categories: National Merit Award (NM) and Areas of Operation Merit Award (OM).

Shell offers a variety of scholarships, such as the University Scholarship Scheme and Postgraduate Scholarship. In this piece, I’ll walk you through the standard application procedure to expect. The steps for applying for the Shell Scholarship are as follows:
- First, apply to get into one of the participating universities for the courses that qualify. Check the list here. You can only get the scholarship application forms from the websites of Imperial College London, University of Leeds, and University of Aberdeen after the university has offered you a place.
- The universities will look over the applications and pick people for interviews with SPDC. After that, they’ll decide who gets the scholarship.
- Make sure to send your completed scholarship application to the universities.
- The scholarship will pay for your tuition, one round-trip economy flight from Nigeria to the UK, and help with living costs.
