NEDC Scholarship Value and Inclusions
The following are benefits for successful candidates:
1. For the Bachelor’s degree scholarship
Full sponsorship for candidates from each of the North East’s six states. Candidates should be trained in relevant programs at Nigerian universities. Beneficiaries may be chosen using ratios of 70:30 for science to arts and 60:40 for male to female.
2. For the Master’s degree scholarship
Two-year training for candidates in each state of the North East Region. Beneficiaries can receive training in demand-driven programs in Nigeria or abroad.
3. For the Doctorate scholarship

Eligibility for the NEDC Scholarship
To be eligible for the scholarship program, you must:
- Applicants have to be natives of the North Eastern region of Nigeria
- Have a minimum of 5 credits including English and Mathematics in their O’Level for Undergraduate Scholarship
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in Nigeria for Masters Scholarship
- Must have gotten a Master’s degree to be able to apply for the Doctorate Scholarship
