About The GREAT Scholarship: GREAT Scholarships for Science and Technology are available to students interested in studying related areas at a UK university for a one-year postgraduate term. The British Council is collaborating to fund the GREAT Scholarships 2024.

Each scholarship is financed jointly by the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, the British Council, and participating UK higher education institutions.

As part of the scholarship scheme, all GREAT scholars will be invited to a welcoming reception in the first semester and a networking event in the second semester.ScholarshipBoard

GREAT Scholarship Value and Inclusions

The scholarship awards successful participants the following:

• The scholarship’s value is £10,000.
• The scholarship will be used towards the recipient’s tuition fees.
• Award winners must notify the Student Financing Office promptly if they receive any other financing for their Master’s degree studies, whether before or following the Scholarship. Eligibility for the GREAT Scholarship

• Required language: English.
• Eligible Countries: Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand
• Have an undergraduate degree, motivation, and enthusiasm in the proposed subject area.
• Meet the English language requirements of the UK HEI.
• Establish a relationship with the UK as a scholar through personal and academic fulfillment.
• Be prepared to attend a networking event for all UK-based GREAT scholars to discuss experiences and record impressions of studying in the UK.
• Be willing to keep in contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships.
• As an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing to chat with potential candidates about their personal experience of studying in the United Kingdom.
• Candidates must have applied to study for a full-time Master’s degree and have received an offer of admission. Distance learning and modified flex courses are not eligible.
